Date Nut Balls
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 2 cans chopped coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
Melt butter in large frying pan. Add sugar, egg, and dates.
Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Stir continually.
Add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies and mix well.
Form into balls and roll in coconut while warm.
Place on wax paper until cool.
Makes 5 dozen (more or less)
